Thee Power Of Twee

Yesterday The Clientele were just as good as you could expect. The new single “Since K got over me” is just great, and it was great live as well! Tonight I thought I would stay at home, I was earlier this week asked if I would go to the Digfi party, but I wasn´t all that keen on the idea. Until now, The Montgolfier Brothers are playing there!!! Now I HAVE to go. But it won´t be a late night, well I shouldn´t say so because you never know with me, but I hope it won´t be a late night! Mostly because I have to save money and because there´s a record fair tomorrow. Looking forward to that, records, mmm!! It´s a shame I don´t have that much money, well it´s at least going to be some records. We´ll see what I find.

Sometimes I hear a song and I can´t stop listening to it. I play that song over and over and over again.
Music to me is not just sounds that a person, or persons, have put together, that float out of speakers or headphones into our ears, it´s everything. It´s lifes secret symphony. Every moment in our lives has a song that fit for just that specific moment. The track doesn´t have to be limited by genre, appearance, cover, label, producer, not even the artist. That specific soundtrack for a moment in your life, any moment, is something that sends out the right frequencies that make just the right strings in your heart and soul vibrate. A moment when the music opens all your vents, whether it´s joy, angst, pain or indifference, it doesn´t matter, the music in that moment floats together with everything, everything you feel, everything you see, everything you smell, you feel complete. The feeling you get in a moment like that is that of everything being a part of the same picture.

If you send your voice into a empty space it echoes to the ones you love.

When it´s the right song at the right moment you hear that voice, the voice so strong, incomprehensible for our ears but so crystal-clear for our inner that we almost crack by it´s beauty. That´s the feeling I search for. When I feel it there´s nothing else in the world, just me and that feeling. You float into the empty space and hear euphonic sounds never heard before, and it´s first then that you can speak of euphoria.

Recently I got a tip about something called Taxi, taxi. That song has been played a lot by my computer, and is still playing. Tonight The Clientele are playing, wasn´t so sure whether I would go or not… but just minutes ago I got a feeling that Clientele was just what I needed today. And for the text… well, I wrote it here earlier today but my computer lives a life of it´s own so I had to write it again… you never seem to catch the feeling on the second try. I saved and loged out, but then I came to think of putting up songs for download here… This is a song from an upcoming Music Is My Girlfriend release, hope you enjoy it. Well, lately I haven´t been all that good at writing here. But now there´s going to be a change! Been working a lot lately, have to have money for the cold swedish winter, and to be able to afford everything I want to do. And of course, records! Those lovely things of plastic and vinyl. Today I won´t be writing all that much, I´ll just put up an interview with Mary from Her Name In Lights. Again, it´s something that will come in the swedish zine Bedroom Love, but it´s kind of a preview and also for people that can´t read in swedish.

Just wanted to thank him for mentioning my blog. I´m thinking about putting up mp3´s. Just have to figure out where to put the songs, limited space here so… But in a week or so there should be songs here! I´m also going to put up one/or two interview(s). There´s going to be a “records”-section as well. Now I have to go to work, take care. And don´t forget to visist SwedesPlease!
